Old-Growth Again Restoration Forestry, Inc. (OGA) Mission Statement
The continuing disappearance of old-growth forest habitat accelerates the global decline of wildlife and biological diversity and is a factor in climate change. Restoration forestry reverses this decline by recreating old-growth habitat while contributing economically to the human society around it.
OGA was founded to restore and manage forest land within a growing restorative business model (ecology and economy). OGA's restoration manual outlines all aspects of forest management. OGA creates value-added forest products of the highest quality to fund its restoration practices. By limiting the amount of wood harvested and adhering to many other restoration standards, the forest yields wood for human use while adding volume decade by decade as it recreates mature and old-growth trees again.
OGA was founded by individuals committed to respectful relations with customers, employees and business partners. Maintaining these standards is key to attracting and retaining the necessary human and financial capital to make a growing contribution in reversing the accelerating global forest degradation and fragmentation.
